Your OBA Business Franchise... Making it Pay!

Last week, we made our first recommendation on a Program/Product. Now it's time to Make it Pay!

We made this recommendation based on our assumption that first-time Internet Marketers want a stable, low-cost, and low-risk Program to get started.

However, depending on the other services you may decide on down the road, we would most likely recommend that you completely pass on the TrafficWave account. It is a potential income generator, but a lot of it's services are redundant with other OBA services.

As we mentioned above, your OBAInternet Business Franchise includes Traffic Exchange Profits (TEP). This is a powerful marketing system which squeezes your subscribers to predetermined or already chosen Traffic Exchanges, with fantastic splash pages you will use to advertise TEP.

Once you are generating income from your TE memberships and earning traffic you did not surf or pay to get, you can do anything you want with your traffic (traffic credits). It does not really matter. You can save your credits, give them away, or do nothing at all with them.

Why? Because you are making money without selling anything! You are earning up front income from TEs before you sell your next book. You may decide to use some of your initial book sales to fund some of your TE upgrades, but eventually the upgrades can be self-funded with referral commissions. You will find that having paid or upgraded TE memberships are more valuable to you.

In TEs, advertising credits have a cost. You can surf to earn or you can purchase the credits outright. The going price to purchase credits is 100 credits for a dollar. You can get them for less when they are offered in bulk or on discount, but for illustrative purpose; let's assume each credit costs a penny.

If credits cost one penny each to purchase and you are able to earn 2,000 credits per hour surfing, then you are generating $20 of advertising per hour. You have earned 2,000 credits at a savings of $20.

To generate 2,000 credits per hour, you need to earn at least one credit per click. Surfing multiple traffic exchanges with a tabbed browser, you can click 2,000 times per hour and earn 2,000 credits. However, you need to have upgraded memberships in your traffic exchanges in order to earn one credit or more per click.

Surfing as a free member you can earn between 500 to 600 credits per hour. If your credits have a value of one penny each, you have earned yourself $5 to $6 when you convert your credits to income.

That's the basic difference between paid and free TE accounts when surfing for credits. Obviously, we do not know what your operating budgets allow for advertising. However, simply using TEP to generate traffic credits and revenue are huge advantages to your business!

The TEP Marketing System is a powerful way of building the foundation of your business, but you can't be expected to have paid or upgraded accounts in all 6 TEs. You would be spreading yourself too thin, and you might start advertising too many things; which would make your overall advertising less effective.

We've identified our top two recommendations to get started:

Let's press on to this week's topics: Safe Lists. A lot of new Traffic Exchanges are also including Safe Lists as part of their repertoire; probably because of their popularity. While we do not ignore their popularity, we do question their effectiveness.

A Safe List is a "closed" sponsored list either hosted by a Traffic Exchange website that provides this as an exclusive service or one of the new Traffic Exchange sites that has included it in their 'grab-bag' of services.

In simple terms, you are given permission to send an advertising e-mail to a like minded individual who is entitled to send you an e-mail advertisement. Since both parties have agreed to receive these e-mails, neither is vulnerable to Spam complaints. Therefore, these lists are safe from Spam complaints.

We experimented with quite a few of these services. Over time, we became overwhelmed with these e-mails, and we had to finally force them to our Spam killers. Suffice it to say that others are probably doing the same.

Let's face it, Internet marketers are looking to sell their Program/Products and they have time constraints like everyone else. Why waste that time reading someone's e-mail advertisement?

The same holds true for fellow surfers. Surfers clicking along furiously for credits are not looking for something to buy. Their primary concern is to build credits to maximize the probability of converting their Program/Product into a sale.

Consequently, this translates into two very important money making tips for you:

1. You only have a finite number of credits to use for advertising. And, whatever that number, it is not relevant to our purpose. What is relevant is that if you are advertising a high number of Programs/Products, you conversion to sales is going to be low. On the other hand, if you are only advertising one Program, your conversion rate will be much higher. It's in your best interest to focus all your effort on a single, high conversion Program/Product.

2. A surfer is aroused by the possibility of improving their surfing results. Therefore, they are much more prone to click on one of your advertising Splash Pages if they perceive a value to them.

As we just mentioned, your advertising credits are finite. They are limited by the time you have to surf and/or the amount of money you may have budgeted to purchase credits. Therefore, it is very important for you to develop methods toward increasing the number of credits available to you.

There is very attractive way to generate more credits at Traffic Exchanges through leverage and viral marketing. This is done by what is known as "squeezing" your Traffic Exchanges through a single program. By advertising one Splash Page, you are squeezing your sign-ups into joining 5-7 Traffic Exchanges that you belong to. So, when someone signs-up for these exchanges, they are signing up under you. When they surf, they are earning credits for you!
